I arrived fashionably late to New York so my day one is actually day three. I am posting this in haste as haste is the theme of fashion week. Waiting for slow computers to upload hundreds of images then attempting to go through said images to pick out a few that can sum up the fashion filled day. Running late to other shows in attempt to accomplish daily posts a task I've never been able to do during previous fashion week. So without further ado here is how my frantically busy day played out.
I started the day with the breakfast of fashion champions, my all time favorite Mara Hoffman. Backstage I witnessed messy braided crowns by
Tigi Professional, and beautifully soft makeup looks by Maybelline. I got what I expected from this show, amazing prints and a desire to globe trot around in it all.
Coming off the high of Mara Hoffman I was headed for another fashion fix from Herve Leger. I expected to see signature bandage dresses I could never squeeze into. Beautifully embellished pieces strutted down the runway and into my heart. I think future attempts will be made to force my way into one of these pieces.
Up next was the Academy of Art show. Being that this is my school I felt obligated, but am always surprised at the innovative designs from the students that can and are rivaling established designers. I'm just happy to report that once again this school represented.
I was more than excited to shoot Naomi Campbell's Fashion for relief show. I was excited not only because I would see Miss thing herself, but the message and purpose of the show. The purpose was to keep the idea of Ebola and the struggle behind it afloat as it is a topic that has dissipated. This purpose brought the stars out in support and a few walked the runway.

The last show of the day was one that typically shows at 9pm, Venexiana. The gorgeous gowns make my tired and sore body stay the course, and I'm never disappointed.
