Our First Trip As New Parents, The Intercontinental Monterey, CA
As someone who loves to travel, it was a blessing to meet a partner with a similar case of wanderlust. Discovering we were pregnant kept us grounded, which was something new for us. But the time has come, and we are excited to share our love of adventure with our bundle of joy.
New Year's Eve, coinciding with baby Rio's two-month birthday, was the perfect time for a getaway. It was an opportunity to dip our toes into traveling with our new addition.
We decided to stay at The Intercontinental Clement Monterey, which perfectly aligned with our vacation desires. Nestled right along the ocean, it was the ideal hotel for our needs. The ocean-view rooms, complete with cozy fireplaces, made lounging incredibly enjoyable and effortless. Waking up to stunning sea views and spending evenings by the fire added an extra layer of comfort and luxury to our stay.
To ensure a hassle-free stay, we made breakfast and dinner reservations at The C Restaurant, conveniently located within the hotel. This decision proved to be a great one, as the restaurant’s panoramic ocean views and exceptional service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our experience. Each meal was a delight, not just because of the stunning surroundings but also due to the thoughtful attention to our dietary preferences. The chefs went above and beyond by creating custom dishes to accommodate my vegan needs, ensuring that every dining experience was both satisfying and delicious. The combination of exquisite cuisine and attentive service made dining at The C Restaurant a highlight of our stay.
Our first venture as new parents went off without a hitch. We are impressed and proud of our little one and how well he did on his first trip.
We shouldn't be so surprised he probably inherited the travel bug from his parents.
Let's see how he does on test trip #2.
