A Stay Reminiscent of Old World Spain at Hotel Valencia, Santana Row, San Jose

Santana Row San Jose Hotel Valencia
Santana Row is a palm tree-lined oasis nestled in a luxurious pocket of San Jose, reminiscent of a European cityscape. This enclave features luxury condos, restaurants, and a plethora of shops. The only hotel nestled in the row is the Hotel Valencia, voted the #1 hotel in San Jose by Condé Nast Traveler. It’s no surprise this Spanish-style hotel took the top spot, offering a chic stay and a peaceful retreat from the lively energy of Santana Row.

Hotel Valencia offers amenities that make it hard to even want to leave, despite the many options awaiting on Santana Row. This peaceful refuge features a gym, rooftop pool, courtyard restaurant, and bar. Did I mention the 24-hour room service?

Our spacious corner suite, with its Spanish-style doors, offered a view of Santana Row below, framed by palm trees. Opening the shutters throughout the suite revealed glimpses of the sun-drenched rooftop pool. The bathroom was so expansive and inviting, you might consider writing an ode to its stand-alone soaking tub with poolside views. Relaxation goals: achieved.

Speaking of the pool, this was where we spent the afternoon unwinding. With poolside service from the restaurant, it was the perfect setup for lounging the day away. The convenience of having delicious food and refreshing drinks brought directly to us enhanced our relaxation, allowing us to fully enjoy the sunny vibes without ever needing to leave our comfortable spot by the water.

Although it wasn’t a far getaway, it was delightful to immerse ourselves in the illusion of soaking up the sun and relaxation vibes of distant Spain, right in the heart of San Jose. It was a refreshing reminder that sometimes, the perfect escape is closer than you think.
